Hon.Edith Nawakwi, was the first female Zambian Minister of Finance, and at the young age of 38. Hon Nawakwi who holds a Masters degree in energy, economics and environment from the University of London Imperial College, was virtually unknown until the 1991 campaign for the Movement of Multiparty Democracy.
