Mutsa Marau & Dr Kaela Mulenga

Diasporan Truth shall be chatting with Mutsa Marau. She is a Zimbabwean, born and raised in London and the young and inspired woman behind Meet Mutsa. Catch Me I'm A Butterfly: A Creative HIV Prevention Peer Education Project was the first project delivered in late 2011 by Meet Mutsa via The Butterfly Tree charity organisation. ‘Meet Mutsa' will be heading out early in 2013 to deliver phase two. Mutsa decided to focus on peer-to-peer education because she believes in mobilising people and having them have the knowledge and thus, power over their lives. For her education is imperative to dealing with HIV. Meet Mutsa operates in London, UK and Mukuni, Zambia. London is home to their fundraising events, social media awareness campaigns with the view to encourage people to get up and do something! Mukuni is where the ground work takes place. PERSPECTIVES Dr. Kaela Mulenga is an activist, prolific contributor and columnist and also a Fullbright Scholar. He taught economics for many years as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Zambia. Dr Mulenga has written extensively as a columnist for numerous online Zambian publications on various topics, including economic and agricultural issues.. Dr. Mulenga joins us on the show to review Micheal Sata's PF government first anniversary since they took power from the corruption riddled MMD. He wrote extensively in support of the Patriotic Front's ability and programme/agenda as the only way the nation was going to move to the anticipated prosperity which would eventually create the much needed jobs. He was also in Zambia during the days leading to the elections and will share his experience of how campaigning has evolved tremendously.
